This shader comes in several variations to suit your needs: with culling, without culling, wireframe with culling, and wireframe without culling.
Timer
The Timer parameter controls the speed and direction of the cloud animation. Adjusting it allows you to create effects like drifting clouds or faster storm-like motion. Its range is flexible, from -10.0 to 10.0, letting you reverse or accelerate the movement.
Alpha
The Alpha parameter manages the transparency of the clouds. A value of 1.0 means fully opaque clouds, while 0.0 renders them completely invisible. Perfect for creating fading effects or blending clouds seamlessly into the environment.
Cloud Scale
The Cloud Scale parameter defines the size and density of the cloud patterns. A higher value increases the detail and complexity, while a lower value creates larger, smoother clouds.
Speed
Speed determines how quickly the clouds move across the screen. A value of 0.03 provides a gentle motion, ideal for serene scenes, while higher values simulate more dynamic weather.
Cloud Dark and Cloud Light
These two parameters control the shading and brightness of the clouds. Cloud Dark adds depth and shadow, while Cloud Light emphasizes highlights. Adjusting these values allows you to fine-tune the overall appearance, from moody overcasts to bright, sunny skies.
Cloud Cover
The Cloud Cover parameter defines how much of the sky is filled with clouds. Use this to transition from clear skies to dense cloudscapes.
Cloud Alpha
This parameter intensifies the cloud density and texture, adding richness and complexity to the patterns. Experiment with higher values for dramatic, stormy effects.
Sky Tint and Colours
The Sky Tint and Sky Colours parameters allow you to blend the clouds seamlessly with the sky. You can customize the gradient between Sky Colour 1 and Sky Colour 2, creating anything from warm sunsets to cool twilight scenes.
Use Sky
When enabled, Use Sky mixes the sky colours into the final render. Disabling it leaves only the clouds visible, which is useful for layering effects over custom backdrops.
Shader Variations
Depending on your project needs, you can choose from these shader versions:
- With Culling: Optimizes rendering by discarding hidden surfaces.
- Without Culling: Ensures all surfaces are rendered, ideal for complex compositions.
- Wireframe with Culling: Displays the cloud effect as a wireframe while optimizing hidden surfaces.
- Wireframe without Culling: Provides a full wireframe view without skipping any surfaces.
